Shoe Gauges Available for Purchase for SHOW HIO Shoeing Rules
SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – The SHOW HIO has designed shoe gauges that will measure every flat shod shoe allowed under the new shoeing rules released previously by SHOW HIO. The shoe gauges measure caulks and shoe thickness and widths. The shoe gauges will be used at every SHOW HIO horse show by Designated Qualified Persons (DQP) to determine compliance with shoeing rules. DQP gauges will be checked with a caliper prior to each show.

The shoe gauges are available for purchase at SHOW. “Not having one (shoe gauge) is like driving without a speedometer,” said SHOW DQP Coordinator Tony Edwards. Call the SHOW office at 931-684-9506 to purchase.
