Lead Me On farm Fund

On the evening of November 29, 2015 Carla Hurley, owner of Lead Me On Farm, received the call every barn owner fears. Carla’s barn, which she owned for 21 years, was tragically engulfed in flames. Carla Hurley, at Lead Me On Farm, specializes in breaking colts which meant most of the horses in the barn were three and under.

Carla lost eleven horses that night. Horses such as Lightning Strikes Twice, On In One, Oops Peek A Boo and Dreams Little Dream. Many had already been crowned World Grand Champion in recent “model and halter division” events. There is no amount of money that can take away the pain Carla experienced but what we can do is help her rebuild and start over. If you are able to donate, please do and share this page with family, friends and horse enthusiasts. Words of encouragement, hugs and love are also graciously accepted. Thank you for your consideration and God bless you.

H-2B Reform Bill Introduced

On October 29, 2015 Senators Thom Tillis (R-NC), Barbara Mikulski (D-MD), Mark Warner (D-VA), and Bill Cassidy (R-LA) introduced the  Save our Small and Seasonal Businesses Act of 2015.  The bill would make many needed reforms to the H-2B temporary, non-agricultural worker program that will make it less burdensome for employers, including those in the horse industry to use.
