ANOTHER WHOA-TWHBEA RECORD BREAKER

Bell Buckle, TN -  Midland Equestrian Center, owned by the Roger Mauney family, was the setting for another record
breaking number of entries at the WHOA-TWHBEA Academy Show held on Saturday, February 16.  Two Hundred entries made the gate call.  Walking Horse Trainers' Association President, Link Webb, had the difficult job of judging these outstanding riders and Stan Butt, TWHBEA Interem Executive Director served as the announcer and kept the show moving.

Former Academy student, Courtney Hicks, and her performance horse, Bust Me Loose, entertained the audience with an exhibition.  Since leaving the Academy program, Courtney has moved on to the show ring aboard several different horses, most notably Bust Me Loose and I'm Austin Powers.  She credits her success to the foundation she received as an Academy student.

WHOA-TWHBEA would like to thank those who worked so hard and volunteered their time to make this show so successful:  Stan Butt and Lori Puckett with TWHBEA; Teresa Owen and Sis Osburn with WHOA; Harolene Willis, WHOA Academy Committee Chairperson; Roger, Laura, and Christy Mauney, Connie and R.D. Waldo, Patsy Newberry, Denise Rowland, Marcy Wilson, and Yvonne Griffith.  Sharon and Fletcher Griffin of the Dinner Table provided concessions, which included their famous "Big Lick Chicken".

The beautiful Waterfall Farms in Shelbyville,TN, will host the next Academy Show on Saturday, March 8, at 10:00 a.m..  The Dinner Table will again provide concessions.   We look forward to another outstanding show.  Mark your calendar and plan to attend.
